Being Presbyterian

This is the official blog of the Communications Office of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.

The purpose of this blog is to explore what it means to be Presbyterian in Canada today. It is too easy to define Presbyterianism the way a dictionary does:

Presbyterian denominations derive their name from the Greek word presbuteros (πρεσβύτερος), which means “elder.” (source)

Instead, the intention here is to present the true image of The Presbyterian Church in Canada by sharing stories of Presbyterian life across Canada and around the world.
