Thanks for dropping by - and for the question.  

I suspect (and stand to be corrected) that the blue colour is a vestige of our denomination&#039;s Scottish heritage. St. Andrew&#039;s Cross, the official blue and white emblem of Scotland, is still often displayed behind renderings of the burning bush in many Canadian Presbyterian churches.

It&#039;s interesting to me that the PC(USA) discontinued use of the burning bush - long a symbol of the Reformed tradition - in favour of a dominant cross.</description>
